Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at University of Plymouth

The university is in the centre of the city which makes it really accessible for accessing shops, nightlife and food/drinks places. Being walking distance to the city, it also makes it accessible to attractions such as the Hoe, meaning you are not always restricted to staying on campus. If you are on campus, the students union is really affordable and friendly and there are loads of societies to join that always have activities going on. read full review
The university is student friendly and willing to assist students in the best way they can.
They can improve on the way some lectures are delivered and not really hold the assumption that student know the information already. read full review
Best: Incredible staff who are extremely passionate and knowledgeable, and who care for their students.
Worst: No study spaces available during busy periods. read full review
The university has a very modern and dynamic environment, and it embraces various cultures. Even though I wasn't familiar with other cultures, I quickly got to know them through international students and cultural activities.
If the university support accommodation for married students they would be more comfortable at the beginning of their study. read full review
It's my experience to be here .l have involved with alot of theory and practical .pls work upon the school timetable especially my department read full review
Amazing facilities and the campus has a nice feel to it. Lecturers are helpful and knowledgeable. Only complaint so far is slow admissions process, having to chase everything up in person. I wouldn't have come here if I didn't live close as I wouldn't have been able to drop in to chase up my application. Everything else seems great read full review
Best: The university is in cooperation with many training companies and institutions to ensure we get a proper training regarding safety and certificates. The University is booking and paying for all these courses from the money we pay each year. This is a pleasant experience because these are very expensive trainings, which would be a challenge to pay by myself.

Worst: I joined the University in 2020 September (during Covid) and the online teaching and student life experience was mainly online. since then the SU and all uni facilities are working normally but it feels hard to get back to the circle and make new friends. Also I would like to say, the counselling has a month waiting list to see someone in person. read full review
