Overview

The University of West London (UWL) is known as the ‘career university’ due its high graduate employment rate. All postgraduate courses at UWL are specifically designed to enable students to thrive in successful future careers across both academia and industry.

UWL has invested £150m in its campus in recent years. New state-of-the-art facilities accessible to postgraduate students include a radio studio, performance spaces, industry-leading training facilities, simulators, studios, labs, and a 24-hour library. Postgraduate students also have exclusive access to Rami Ranger House, a student centre which promotes research and discussion within the postgraduate community.

Postgraduate study and research are divided across UWL’s three campuses. The university’s Ealing and Brentford sites are well served by public transport and a free shuttle bus service runs between the two campuses. Nursing and midwifery courses are based at the Berkshire Institute for Health in Reading, which is just a short train journey from London.

There is a wide range of interdisciplinary postgraduate courses available at UWL, with over 70 postgraduate taught courses and a range of research degrees to choose from. Many courses offer industry placements, as well as blended study options. There are 27 specialist research centres and groups at UWL, which are currently undertaking ground-breaking research across a range of specialist subject areas.
