Every year, the Whatuni Student Choice Awards (or WUSCA for short) celebrates the best universities in the UK. Unlike normal awards where a panel of judges decides the winners, everyone who takes home a trophy is taking it because student reviews have scored them the highest, making them the best at student satisfaction in their particular category.
There are usually 10 categories, but this year they added a very special award to find out which universities are making postgraduate students the most satisfied.
So, who went home with the title of best university for postgraduate students?
WINNER
Swansea University took home the first ever Whatuni postgraduate award, and very well deserved it is too, as they offer over 150 research degrees and over 110 taught degrees, giving plenty of choice for prospective postgraduates, especially given that they can be studied on a part-time basis as well as full-time.
Swansea University also ensures potential students are as prepared as possible for their postgraduate study, and have specific open days just for them, house hunting events and postgraduate only accommodation.
This wasn’t their first nomination either, as the university was actually nominated in four other categories too (Clubs and Societies, International, Giving Back and Course and Lecturers), so they’re clearly not just impressing students in one area of their university life!

Postgraduate reviewers told Whatuni they thought Exeter had excellent quality of lecturers, they felt really employable as a result of the help they were offered, and they always knew support was on offer if they ever needed it.
