Assessment

How learning is monitored on your programme

To cater for the wide-ranging content of our courses and the varied learning preferences of our students, we offer a range of assessment methods on each programme. Assessment techniques vary from module to module to reflect relevant assessment approaches and the key learning points of each topic.

All assessments are closely linked to school and college-based practice and involve the completion of reports, small scale practice-based research projects, presentations, and critical reflections on professional practice.

Modules

This module is designed to support newly or recently qualified teachers in the critical reflection of planning and delivering learning sequences. It will enable you to: evidence how theory on planning, as well as subject specific perspectives, interact with its application in your classroom, allowing you to reflect on a range of issues that relate theory and practice; examine and understand better the process of planning for learning and its inter-dependency on subject knowledge issues and learner needs; explore the relationship between theory and practice of planning for continuity, progression and learning impact in the classroom.
